Come visit the largest Amish settlement west of the Mississippi! You will love viewing beautiful Amish farms and seeing horse-drawn buggies as you drive the country roads. The area (Kalona, Iowa) boasts a famous cheese factory, restaurants, an Amish bakery, quaint antique shops, a coffee house, and much more! We would love to have you stay at the Dutch Country Inn when you visit Kalona. At our inn, your comfort is our priority. We offer exceptionally clean rooms, a continental breakfast, and down-home hospitality.
We serve a continental-style breakfast each morning, featuring a variety of food and drinks. Our locally made, oh-so-soft, caramel cinnamon rolls are a favorite with our guests. Other breakfast items include coffee, orange juice, milk, cereal, instant oatmeal, bagels, and muffins.
This little hotel is tucked away in Amish Country but only a few minutes away from Iowa City and lots to do. My husband and I stay there primarily during football season when we can't get a room in Iowa City. The owners and staff have always been very friendly and we now stay there as our first choice!

The Bontrager family is the best. They know what it means to be in the hospitality business. They run a family-friendly, spotlessly-clean, convenient, comfortable, totally modern inn. Recommendation of the Dutch County Inn to family and friends can be made without reserve.
- GUEST FROM AMES, IOWA
I stayed two nights at this hotel and could not have been happier with my stay. It’s just a short drive from Iowa City and is a quiet place to stay. The rooms were very clean and fresh and up to date. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was great and the cinnamon rolls were out of this world. I would definitely stay again!!

This quaint little motel was clean and efficient for our needs. We entered as strangers but left as friends. I would highly recommend their services, especially to those who may have been disappointed by the larger motel chains.

The Dutch Country Inn was a wonderful stay. The rooms are neat, clean and well supplied. The lobby has gentle, soft music playing with an inviting atmosphere. The staff are accommodating and friendly. The Amish twist throughout the hotel was pretty cool. The hotel is nestled in an Amish community with a cute small town just a stone throw away.

This hotel is very warm and friendly! True Midwest hospitality! The family that owns this hotel was Amish in origin. Make sure to view the picture in the lobby of this VERY large family! The hotel, and our room, was very clean. They provided a light, continental breakfast complete with cinnamon rolls from local bakery.
